Peter’s Church, Boughton Monchelsea

Village quiz – enjoy a gentle stroll around the centre of Boughton
Monchelsea and seek the answers to this local
observational quiz. Copies cost £1, to support Friends of
St Peter’s, and are available at the back of the church
or from Jilly, 01622 743336. There will be a £20 prize
and the closing date is September 20th.
Bibles for school leavers –
over the years we have given bibles to the leavers of
Boughton
Monchelsea
Primary School
. The cost this year is £13.50 and we are giving 30
bibles. if you would like to help us, please place your
donations in the bowl
at the back of the Church.
Church open for
visitors – subject to services and
the availability of our volunteer guides the church
is open every Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Bank Holiday
afternoon until Harvest (3 October).
Gift
Aid – to those many of you in our congregation, most
of you indeed, who enhance their support for St Peter’s
ministry by entering into Gift Aid, thank you.
Please do let me know if your tax position changes,
as all tax recovered must be covered by tax liability.
You need to be a tax payer for Gift Aid to apply to
you. (I do realise that you know this well, but we are
required by HMRC to remind donors.) If you have not yet
entered into Gift Aid to help us, and you are a tax payer,
please do come and join us in this.
It involves you in no extra giving; and it is truly
of great benefit to the church.

Urgently required – we
need more drivers for our minibus which is a lifeline for
members of our congregation.
We operate a rota which means you would only need
to be available every 4-6 weeks, and it only takes about
30 minutes before and after the service to pick up and
drop off. If
you have experience, this would be a great advantage, but
it’s not a necessity. We may be able to arrange training
for anyone who does not have experience but is keen to
join us. If you are interested but not sure, you can come
along with one of the current drivers to see what is
involved. Contact

Welsh Male Voice Choir recording available – Diana Fletcher has
produced copies of the wonderful concert on June 21st.

Members
of the Prayer Ministry team are
available after every service to pray with people.
They will usually be wearing a name badge.
